Our story began in 1999 when Arvo Pouttu offered us our first livestock transport vehicle and deliveries. Being self-employed and working in the transport sector sounded interesting, so we launched our business, completing our first livestock delivery on 1 July 1999 with Mr Janne Paavola behind the wheel.
From there, we began to develop our business further and quickly hired more staff to meet our growing needs. Thanks to the owners’ expertise in international transport, we were able to expand our operations abroad already the following year. At that time, we also got ourselves our first semi-trailer designed for temperature-controlled transport. As the company’s fleet and operations grew, we decided to build our own facilities in the Central Ostrobothnian municipality of Kaustinen, in 2006.
The interests and experience of the company’s founders has meant that the operations have always been focused on Northern Finland and Northern Norway, in particular. The northern environment and weather conditions are demanding for both vehicles and drivers, but also make the work more varied and engaging. And when they have the time, our drivers occasionally venture out to conquer some of the fells and mountains of the north.
Since the company’s foundation, our operations have been based on long-term clientships, built on trust, and skilled staff members, many of whom have been on this journey with us for more than a decade. Over time, our fleet and operations have grown significantly, and today we are a major player on the northern transport market. Our company now consists of over 40 professionals, allowing us to provide our clients with reliable and responsible logistics services.
The same way as we did in 1999, we want to continue to develop our operations in the future, ensuring profitability and financial stability. In 2019, our operating system was granted a quality certificate (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and our values – being a responsible, local and environmentally friendly operator – speak of our commitment to sustainable development. Our aim is to provide transport services in compliance with the sector’s regulations, to provide work for local drivers and entrepreneurs and to respect nature.
